1
00:00:01,020 --> 00:00:02,269
Last season, on "The Flash"...
2
00:00:02,270 --> 00:00:03,279
Hey, Mom and Dad.
3
00:00:03,280 --> 00:00:04,539
If you're watching this,
4
00:00:04,540 --> 00:00:06,409
it means that something went wrong.
5
00:00:06,410 --> 00:00:09,099
- Mom, what's happening?
- A new timeline is setting in.
6
00:00:09,100 --> 00:00:11,169
- Thank you for everything.
- I love you.
7
00:00:14,180 --> 00:00:16,839
Look, Kamilla, I don't want
to keep this from you anymore.
8
00:00:16,840 --> 00:00:19,719
If being Vibe is a part
of the life you want,
9
00:00:19,720 --> 00:00:21,220
I would never get in the way of that.
10
00:00:21,230 --> 00:00:22,279
I wanna take the cure.
11
00:00:22,280 --> 00:00:24,599
Killer Frost and I are
really gonna miss Vibe.
12
00:00:24,600 --> 00:00:26,519
Me, too.
13
00:00:26,520 --> 00:00:28,299
Dad...
14
00:00:28,300 --> 00:00:30,679
I would like my
replacement to be you, Joe.
15
00:00:30,680 --> 00:00:32,800
- As captain?
- Captain Joe West.
16
00:00:32,810 --> 00:00:35,400
None of you can stop
what's been set into motion
17
00:00:35,410 --> 00:00:36,900
because nothing you can do
18
00:00:36,910 --> 00:00:40,440
can alter what's about to happen.
19
00:00:44,370 --> 00:00:47,200
It's a system-wide power surge.
20
00:00:52,470 --> 00:00:54,840
It's coming from the Time Vault.
21
00:00:57,470 --> 00:01:00,140
- Are we under attack?
- I don't know.
22
00:01:00,150 --> 00:01:02,549
Whatever's going on
started the moment we left.
23
00:01:03,670 --> 00:01:05,760
I wasn't perfect.
24
00:01:05,790 --> 00:01:09,080
Please remember that I love you both...
25
00:01:09,090 --> 00:01:10,679
and I always will.
26
00:01:10,680 --> 00:01:12,009
And I always will.
27
00:01:12,010 --> 00:01:14,010
And I always will... always... always...
28
00:01:23,520 --> 00:01:26,619
Barry, Nora's message.
29
00:01:29,610 --> 00:01:32,399
- Synced and corrected by VitoSilans -
-- www.Addic7ed.com --
30
00:01:32,400 --> 00:01:34,220
Why is it every time I come to visit
31
00:01:34,230 --> 00:01:35,610
there's always a crisis?
32
00:01:35,620 --> 00:01:37,699
Comes with the meta-territory.
33
00:01:37,700 --> 00:01:40,249
750 mph. He's getting faster.
34
00:01:40,250 --> 00:01:42,299
Who is this guy, anyway?
35
00:01:42,300 --> 00:01:43,909
An old family friend.
36
00:01:47,460 --> 00:01:50,109
His name's Godspeed, and
he's from the future.
37
00:01:52,390 --> 00:01:54,589
He's like a fake speedster.
38
00:01:54,590 --> 00:01:56,549
What's that?
39
00:01:58,990 --> 00:02:01,229
The real deal.
40
00:02:16,610 --> 00:02:18,700
Kick his butt, Barry!
41
00:02:18,710 --> 00:02:20,869
Done and doner.
42
00:02:34,520 --> 00:02:37,379
Who are you and what are
you doing in Central City?
43
00:02:43,660 --> 00:02:46,799
He's just like the others: no
language skills, just noise.
44
00:02:46,800 --> 00:02:48,969
- Lovely.
- What was that?
45
00:02:48,970 --> 00:02:51,149
The fourth Godspeed
we've caught this summer
46
00:02:51,150 --> 00:02:53,239
and still no sign of Mr. August Heart.
47
00:02:53,240 --> 00:02:55,399
Just another dummy who
can't communicate anything
48
00:02:55,400 --> 00:02:56,729
beyond modem speak.
49
00:02:56,730 --> 00:02:58,869
All right, I'm clocking out.
50
00:02:58,870 --> 00:03:01,689
Why don't you drop off
G4 at Iron Heights, Barry?
51
00:03:01,690 --> 00:03:05,280
I don't think we're figuring
out this mystery today.
52
00:03:06,890 --> 00:03:08,450
This is nice, Dad.
53
00:03:08,460 --> 00:03:09,679
We should do this way more often.
54
00:03:09,680 --> 00:03:10,750
Agreed.
55
00:03:10,760 --> 00:03:12,419
Hey, before I forget,
56
00:03:12,420 --> 00:03:14,309
congratulations on "The Citizen."
57
00:03:14,310 --> 00:03:15,499
Yeah, well, you know,
58
00:03:15,500 --> 00:03:16,950
there's millions of
people in Central City
59
00:03:16,960 --> 00:03:19,279
and I've only got a couple
hundred thousand subscribers.
60
00:03:19,280 --> 00:03:20,809
You know, I'm no CCPN.
61
00:03:20,810 --> 00:03:23,129
Well, not yet, but in about ten years
62
00:03:23,130 --> 00:03:25,479
it'll be a Pulitzer
Prize-winning empire.
63
00:03:25,480 --> 00:03:27,529
Baby steps, Dad.
64
00:03:27,530 --> 00:03:29,789
Mm, damn, this is good.
65
00:03:29,790 --> 00:03:31,539
You know you can't get drunk.
66
00:03:31,540 --> 00:03:33,299
I don't even care,
that's how good this is.
67
00:03:33,300 --> 00:03:35,779
Never fear, the party's here!
68
00:03:37,460 --> 00:03:39,199
We brought my famous ambrosia salad
69
00:03:39,200 --> 00:03:40,540
and veggie dogs for Ralph.
70
00:03:40,550 --> 00:03:41,879
Guys, Ralph's still in Peru.
71
00:03:41,880 --> 00:03:43,940
Or Monaco... or Texas?
72
00:03:43,950 --> 00:03:45,309
All that for a missing person's case?
73
00:03:45,310 --> 00:03:46,829
That's dedication.
74
00:03:46,830 --> 00:03:50,019
Guys, guys, what are we doing?
75
00:03:50,020 --> 00:03:52,849
Baby Jenna is napping
like a little angel
76
00:03:52,850 --> 00:03:54,969
and I have creamed corn,
I have candied yams,
77
00:03:54,970 --> 00:03:57,530
I have collard greens.
78
00:03:57,540 --> 00:03:59,389
- Baby, let's eat.
- Yum!
79
00:03:59,390 --> 00:04:02,410
Yeah!
80
00:04:11,430 --> 00:04:13,759
- How's the MAC coming?
- There's mac and cheese too?
81
00:04:15,200 --> 00:04:17,389
No, the Mental Augmentation Chamber.
82
00:04:17,390 --> 00:04:19,769
Basically, it allows us
to tap into the Speed Force
83
00:04:19,770 --> 00:04:21,340
to boost Barry's cognitive abilities.
84
00:04:21,350 --> 00:04:24,059
It would allow him to see every
possible outcome to a scenario
85
00:04:24,060 --> 00:04:25,089
at the same time.
86
00:04:25,090 --> 00:04:26,120
So speed-thinking.
87
00:04:26,130 --> 00:04:28,100
Which means we'll be able
to catch all the bad guys faster.
88
00:04:28,110 --> 00:04:29,639
With all the ones that
you brought in this summer,
89
00:04:29,640 --> 00:04:31,730
Barry, the DA's office can
barely keep up with you.
90
00:04:31,740 --> 00:04:32,880
Hey, since the MAC's done,
91
00:04:32,890 --> 00:04:34,219
we should take it for a test run.
92
00:04:34,220 --> 00:04:35,359
Absolutely not.
93
00:04:35,360 --> 00:04:36,830
You know we're still
working out diagnostics.
94
00:04:36,840 --> 00:04:38,309
We could put in a few hours tonight,
95
00:04:38,310 --> 00:04:39,329
get a head start.
96
00:04:39,330 --> 00:04:40,640
Barry...
97
00:04:40,650 --> 00:04:42,189
If there's anything I've learned
98
00:04:42,190 --> 00:04:43,599
since leaving Vibe behind,
99
00:04:43,600 --> 00:04:46,409
it's that we all have a
work-life balance to protect,
100
00:04:46,410 --> 00:04:50,320
and right now, mine is
tipping towards more beer.
101
00:04:53,160 --> 00:04:55,970
Besides, I still gotta
tweak the mainframe
102
00:04:55,980 --> 00:04:59,519
and I can't do that without...
103
00:04:59,520 --> 00:05:00,779
Uh...
104
00:05:00,780 --> 00:05:02,859
Every time.
105
00:05:02,860 --> 00:05:04,789
- My tablet.
- Yeah.
106
00:05:04,790 --> 00:05:07,399
Thank you.
107
00:05:07,400 --> 00:05:09,770
I'm gonna go get that beer.
108
00:05:12,670 --> 00:05:14,459
Hey, so the last time
I talked to you guys,
109
00:05:14,460 --> 00:05:17,709
you seemed good.
110
00:05:17,710 --> 00:05:20,799
You guys good?
111
00:05:20,800 --> 00:05:22,879
Um...
112
00:05:22,880 --> 00:05:24,450
we were devastated at first,
113
00:05:24,460 --> 00:05:26,269
but Nora's only gone for right now.
114
00:05:26,270 --> 00:05:27,560
We're gonna have kids someday
115
00:05:27,570 --> 00:05:30,589
and then we'll have another Nora.
116
00:05:30,590 --> 00:05:33,470
Yeah, I think knowing that
we have a second chance
117
00:05:33,480 --> 00:05:35,140
makes all the difference.
118
00:05:36,720 --> 00:05:39,909
I gotta go, a break-in
at Eastside Industrial.
119
00:05:41,730 --> 00:05:43,919
Dad, um, I meant to ask you,
120
00:05:43,920 --> 00:05:46,109
what did you do with those boxes
121
00:05:46,110 --> 00:05:47,459
that were in the back of the garage?
122
00:05:47,460 --> 00:05:50,809
Oh, he finally threw them away.
123
00:05:50,810 --> 00:05:52,670
Thank you very much.
124
00:05:52,680 --> 00:05:53,960
Okay, I gotta make a call.
125
00:05:56,240 --> 00:05:58,559
Guys, I'm sorry, I actually
have to sneak out too.
126
00:05:58,560 --> 00:06:01,109
A friend of mine from med
school needs my support.
127
00:06:01,110 --> 00:06:03,610
Thanks for having me, it was delicious.
128
00:06:03,620 --> 00:06:06,709
Bye, Caitlin.
129
00:06:06,710 --> 00:06:08,569
You notice ain't nobody help clean up?
130
00:06:10,950 --> 00:06:14,779
My name is Ramsey Rosso,
131
00:06:14,780 --> 00:06:17,780
and my mother, Dr. Rachel Rosso,
132
00:06:17,790 --> 00:06:19,839
was everything to me.
133
00:06:19,840 --> 00:06:22,429
When I was seven,
134
00:06:22,430 --> 00:06:24,590
I skidded out pretty badly
on a bike she bought me
135
00:06:24,600 --> 00:06:27,129
for my birthday.
136
00:06:27,130 --> 00:06:29,089
Imagine a scared kid
with two scraped knees
137
00:06:29,090 --> 00:06:31,000
and a bloody nose.
138
00:06:31,010 --> 00:06:34,589
When Mum found me,
she picked me right up,
139
00:06:34,590 --> 00:06:36,779
she brushed me off,
140
00:06:36,780 --> 00:06:40,279
and told me to get back
on my bike and ride.
141
00:06:41,860 --> 00:06:45,289
I tried, but I couldn't.
142
00:06:45,290 --> 00:06:47,269
It was almost like I was paralyzed,
143
00:06:47,270 --> 00:06:49,569
it hurt so bad.
144
00:06:49,570 --> 00:06:53,290
That's when she told
me that I would heal.
145
00:06:53,300 --> 00:06:56,449
That I must never let
a little pain stop me
146
00:06:56,450 --> 00:06:58,969
from getting to where
I needed to go in life,
147
00:06:58,970 --> 00:07:02,159
and she was right.
148
00:07:02,160 --> 00:07:04,619
I did heal.
149
00:07:06,460 --> 00:07:09,049
Enough to grow up
150
00:07:09,050 --> 00:07:11,299
and follow in her footsteps.
151
00:07:13,820 --> 00:07:17,989
And even though a
beautiful life was cut short
152
00:07:17,990 --> 00:07:20,819
when she lost her
battle to heal herself...
153
00:07:23,140 --> 00:07:26,159
She is still helping me to get
to where I need to go today.
154
00:07:34,340 --> 00:07:36,839
And for that, I will always be grateful.
155
00:07:40,240 --> 00:07:42,329
Thank you, Jonathan.
156
00:07:42,330 --> 00:07:44,679
Ramsey, hi.
157
00:07:46,210 --> 00:07:48,519
I'm so sorry for your loss.
158
00:07:48,520 --> 00:07:50,269
Your mother was an incredible woman.
159
00:07:50,270 --> 00:07:51,759
I'm gonna miss her.
160
00:07:51,760 --> 00:07:53,879
It means so much that you came.
161
00:07:53,880 --> 00:07:57,049
Mum actually saw something
of herself in you.
162
00:07:57,050 --> 00:07:59,179
Probably because you're
both overachievers.
163
00:08:00,610 --> 00:08:03,059
Your hands are so cold.
164
00:08:04,680 --> 00:08:06,939
Are you all right?
165
00:08:08,710 --> 00:08:10,329
Yeah, sorry, I'm fine.
166
00:08:10,330 --> 00:08:13,039
Um, probably just coming
down with something.
167
00:08:13,040 --> 00:08:14,539
Well, I hope not.
168
00:08:14,540 --> 00:08:16,989
- Doctors make rubbish patients.
- Mm.
169
00:08:16,990 --> 00:08:18,739
It was nice to see you.
170
00:08:18,740 --> 00:08:22,199
Eh, Caitlin?
171
00:08:22,200 --> 00:08:25,290
Things have been a bit, um, crazy.
172
00:08:27,580 --> 00:08:30,579
Do you fancy coming around
for a cuppa sometime?
173
00:08:30,580 --> 00:08:33,440
You know, for a proper catch-up.
174
00:08:33,450 --> 00:08:35,580
I could really use someone
to talk to right now.
175
00:08:35,590 --> 00:08:37,009
Of course, any time.
176
00:08:37,010 --> 00:08:39,880
Just give me a call.
177
00:08:50,080 --> 00:08:52,559
Well, my log says that
your father's stuff
178
00:08:52,560 --> 00:08:55,120
should have ended up
somewhere around here.
179
00:09:01,360 --> 00:09:04,280
Here it is.
180
00:09:14,850 --> 00:09:16,649
Must be pretty important.
181
00:09:16,650 --> 00:09:20,439
Yeah, it is.
182
00:09:20,440 --> 00:09:22,469
Thanks.
183
00:09:30,270 --> 00:09:33,600
Whoa, whoa, whoa.
184
00:09:33,610 --> 00:09:36,259
H-hang on!
185
00:09:36,260 --> 00:09:38,289
I've got you!
186
00:09:53,040 --> 00:09:55,479
You okay?
187
00:10:02,490 --> 00:10:05,280
What the hell?
188
00:10:11,060 --> 00:10:13,719
I missed you last night.
Are you sure you're okay?
189
00:10:13,720 --> 00:10:14,979
Yeah.
190
00:10:14,980 --> 00:10:18,509
What were you doing out here anyway?
191
00:10:18,510 --> 00:10:21,229
I was following up on a lead.
192
00:10:21,230 --> 00:10:23,350
"The Citizen" got a tip
193
00:10:23,360 --> 00:10:26,369
that there were a series
of junkyard robberies.
194
00:10:26,370 --> 00:10:30,600
People file police
reports for stolen trash?
195
00:10:30,610 --> 00:10:32,989
Yeah, well, you know,
196
00:10:32,990 --> 00:10:35,019
not everything that's here is garbage.
197
00:10:39,410 --> 00:10:41,529
Everything here is garbage!
198
00:10:41,530 --> 00:10:43,160
I hate garbage.
199
00:10:43,190 --> 00:10:44,980
Okay, have fun with Ghostbusters.
200
00:10:44,990 --> 00:10:46,629
- I'll see you at home.
- Mm-hmm.
201
00:10:48,620 --> 00:10:51,320
What do you got?
202
00:10:51,330 --> 00:10:53,990
This site is littered...
no pun intended...
203
00:10:54,000 --> 00:10:56,969
with gamma rays and magnetar fields.
204
00:10:56,970 --> 00:10:58,959
What are you saying?
Iris was attacked by a...
205
00:10:58,960 --> 00:11:02,140
Yeah, a frakkin' black hole.
206
00:11:07,990 --> 00:11:11,799
That is a whole lot of
information to disseminate.
207
00:11:11,800 --> 00:11:13,469
No one's ever
extrapolated this much data
208
00:11:13,470 --> 00:11:14,629
from a black hole before.
209
00:11:14,630 --> 00:11:17,230
We can be the first.
210
00:11:17,240 --> 00:11:18,960
Come on, we're Team Flash!
211
00:11:18,970 --> 00:11:21,169
What did you put in his coffee?
212
00:11:21,170 --> 00:11:22,609
Okay, a black hole just showed up
213
00:11:22,610 --> 00:11:24,539
and nearly swallowed Iris.
214
00:11:24,540 --> 00:11:27,200
So let's crunch the numbers,
find out where it went.
215
00:11:27,210 --> 00:11:29,559
I'm sorry, are we looking
at the same screen?
216
00:11:29,560 --> 00:11:32,370
Creating a search algorithm
for this is gonna be like
217
00:11:32,380 --> 00:11:35,119
deciphering a mystery
wrapped up in an enigma.
218
00:11:35,120 --> 00:11:36,149
Then it's a good thing
219
00:11:36,150 --> 00:11:39,190
that "mystery" is my middle name.
220
00:11:41,010 --> 00:11:43,859
The name's Dibny...
221
00:11:43,860 --> 00:11:46,579
Ralph Dibny.
222
00:11:46,580 --> 00:11:48,489
Welcome back, Ralph.
223
00:11:48,490 --> 00:11:51,070
- It's good to see you, man.
- Nice threads.
224
00:11:51,080 --> 00:11:53,159
- Where'd you get them?
- Picked this up in the Opal.
225
00:11:53,160 --> 00:11:54,709
A missing person's case
226
00:11:54,710 --> 00:11:55,999
sent you all the way to Opal City?
227
00:11:56,000 --> 00:11:57,539
And beyond, my friend.
228
00:11:57,540 --> 00:11:59,449
A summer spent
undercover rubbing Rolexes
229
00:11:59,450 --> 00:12:01,129
with the wealthy elite.
230
00:12:01,130 --> 00:12:03,070
Did you guys know it's
pronounced "yacht"
231
00:12:03,080 --> 00:12:04,599
and not "yah-kt"?
232
00:12:04,600 --> 00:12:06,429
- Yep.
- God, I missed you.
233
00:12:06,430 --> 00:12:08,269
Anyway, just following
any leads that might help
234
00:12:08,270 --> 00:12:10,949
explain the disappearance
of Sue Dearbon.
235
00:12:10,950 --> 00:12:13,349
I don't think I've ever seen
you this devoted to a case.
236
00:12:13,350 --> 00:12:16,769
Me neither, but this
one is a real tragedy.
237
00:12:16,770 --> 00:12:18,320
Maybe it was the look of desperation
238
00:12:18,330 --> 00:12:19,859
in her parents' eyes when they begged me
239
00:12:19,860 --> 00:12:21,300
to find their daughter.
240
00:12:21,310 --> 00:12:23,500
So, uh, what's new in Central City?
241
00:12:23,520 --> 00:12:26,450
We are trying to track a black hole.
242
00:12:26,460 --> 00:12:27,480
Of course you are.
243
00:12:27,490 --> 00:12:30,279
We were just about to start
decoding this data stream.
244
00:12:31,950 --> 00:12:34,379
Whoa, whoa, whoa!
245
00:12:34,380 --> 00:12:36,599
Ugh, I'm sorry, sorry.
246
00:12:36,600 --> 00:12:38,859
Been having these
random frost-outs lately.
247
00:12:38,860 --> 00:12:41,179
- For how long?
- All summer.
248
00:12:41,180 --> 00:12:43,079
It's happened twice in
the last couple of days.
249
00:12:43,080 --> 00:12:45,139
Cait, you're probably overworked.
250
00:12:45,140 --> 00:12:46,350
Maybe take a time out?
251
00:12:46,360 --> 00:12:48,179
A friend of mine did
want to meet for coffee.
252
00:12:48,180 --> 00:12:50,559
- Ramsey?
- Yeah.
253
00:12:50,560 --> 00:12:51,999
It's never easy losing a parent.
254
00:12:52,000 --> 00:12:54,189
Maybe you should take him up on it.
255
00:12:54,190 --> 00:12:56,370
I'll give him a call.
256
00:12:58,880 --> 00:13:01,210
Ah, found it.
257
00:13:01,220 --> 00:13:05,179
Theft report for Leawood
and New Brighton junkyard.
258
00:13:05,180 --> 00:13:06,259
See, I have a system.
259
00:13:06,260 --> 00:13:07,499
You're a hoarder, but I love you.
260
00:13:07,500 --> 00:13:09,299
Iris.
261
00:13:12,290 --> 00:13:14,580
Huh, these don't seem
262
00:13:14,590 --> 00:13:16,339
to have anything to
do with the black hole.
263
00:13:16,340 --> 00:13:19,210
They're just run-of-the-mill
human thefts.
264
00:13:19,220 --> 00:13:22,480
Well, you have a list
of persons of interest,
265
00:13:22,490 --> 00:13:24,679
- in any case.
- Yeah, thank you.
266
00:13:24,680 --> 00:13:26,929
Um, I'll get right on this.
267
00:13:26,930 --> 00:13:29,439
Iris?
268
00:13:29,440 --> 00:13:32,019
- What's wrong?
- Nothing.
269
00:13:32,020 --> 00:13:34,350
I... I don't know, maybe
I'm still a little shaken up
270
00:13:34,360 --> 00:13:35,899
from the black hole.
271
00:13:35,900 --> 00:13:38,649
I'll be fine, thank you.
272
00:13:44,450 --> 00:13:46,199
You remembered how I like my lattes.
273
00:13:46,200 --> 00:13:48,619
With a bit of cinnamon, just like Mum.
274
00:13:48,620 --> 00:13:50,599
You know, of all her
CC Hospital residents,
275
00:13:50,600 --> 00:13:52,410
she really took a special liking to you.
276
00:13:52,420 --> 00:13:53,439
She was the first person
277
00:13:53,440 --> 00:13:55,769
to realize that I was
into cutting-edge tech.
278
00:13:55,770 --> 00:13:58,340
It was her letter of recommendation
279
00:13:58,350 --> 00:14:00,919
that started my career at S.T.A.R. Labs.
280
00:14:02,800 --> 00:14:05,940
I couldn't save her, Cait.
281
00:14:05,950 --> 00:14:08,949
Had to watch as her body betrayed her.
282
00:14:10,430 --> 00:14:12,729
Do you know how HLH works?
283
00:14:12,730 --> 00:14:15,119
Then you know the cancer
literally boils you
284
00:14:15,120 --> 00:14:17,119
from the inside out.
285
00:14:18,960 --> 00:14:22,779
Can you imagine what
that must have felt like?
286
00:14:22,780 --> 00:14:25,299
Watching her suffer...
287
00:14:27,780 --> 00:14:29,369
That's my last memory of her.
288
00:14:29,370 --> 00:14:30,949
Don't let it be.
289
00:14:30,950 --> 00:14:34,379
What you said at the funeral
about how brave she was?
290
00:14:34,380 --> 00:14:36,089
Remember that.
291
00:14:36,090 --> 00:14:38,669
I lied.
292
00:14:38,670 --> 00:14:41,179
Truth is, she was a coward.
293
00:14:41,180 --> 00:14:42,809
What do you mean?
294
00:14:42,810 --> 00:14:46,969
As a doctor, she knew her
chances of surviving were slim,
295
00:14:46,970 --> 00:14:50,639
so she just started ticking
things off her bucket list.
296
00:14:50,640 --> 00:14:52,020
Isn't that a good thing?
297
00:14:52,030 --> 00:14:53,930
She should have gone down fighting.
298
00:14:53,940 --> 00:14:56,229
Instead, she ran away.
299
00:14:56,230 --> 00:14:58,400
I didn't.
300
00:15:04,820 --> 00:15:06,859
In HLH, white blood cells attack
301
00:15:06,860 --> 00:15:08,239
the body's immune system.
302
00:15:08,240 --> 00:15:10,179
A median survival rate after diagnosis
303
00:15:10,180 --> 00:15:13,550
was two to six months.
304
00:15:13,560 --> 00:15:15,419
Not anymore.
305
00:15:17,850 --> 00:15:21,090
Oh, my God, this is a potential cure.
306
00:15:21,100 --> 00:15:23,019
But what's the bonding agent
307
00:15:23,020 --> 00:15:25,520
strengthening the body's defenses?
308
00:15:25,530 --> 00:15:26,959
Dark matter.
309
00:15:26,960 --> 00:15:28,859
I know what you're thinking, Cait.
310
00:15:28,860 --> 00:15:30,939
I thought the same
thing, too... at first.
311
00:15:30,940 --> 00:15:32,609
But I have been running
simulations for months,
312
00:15:32,610 --> 00:15:34,309
and they all show the same results.
313
00:15:34,310 --> 00:15:35,729
My cure will work.
314
00:15:35,730 --> 00:15:39,019
Or turn them into meta-humans
against their will.
315
00:15:39,020 --> 00:15:40,120
But I can save lives.
316
00:15:40,130 --> 00:15:42,690
I just need the dark matter
to start human trials.
317
00:15:43,780 --> 00:15:46,190
And that's why you wanted
to get coffee with me.
318
00:15:46,200 --> 00:15:48,410
S.T.A.R. Labs has the dark matter I need
319
00:15:48,420 --> 00:15:50,409
to take the next step;
you have access to it.
320
00:15:50,410 --> 00:15:53,699
Ramsey, your research,
it's groundbreaking,
321
00:15:53,700 --> 00:15:55,869
but using dark matter?
322
00:15:55,870 --> 00:15:57,059
That's a deal-breaker.
323
00:15:57,060 --> 00:15:59,059
It wasn't when you made
the meta-human cure.
324
00:15:59,060 --> 00:16:01,630
That was different. We
were trying to protect them.
325
00:16:01,640 --> 00:16:04,339
Well, what about the rest of us?
326
00:16:07,720 --> 00:16:10,399
I'm sorry. I really am.
327
00:16:11,930 --> 00:16:14,279
But my answer is still no.
328
00:16:23,420 --> 00:16:25,480
She didn't have to die, Cait.
329
00:16:25,490 --> 00:16:27,940
No one with HLH does,
330
00:16:27,950 --> 00:16:30,829
because you could help me stop it.
331
00:17:26,710 --> 00:17:29,879
Frost, where are you?
332
00:17:57,970 --> 00:18:00,639
- How you feeling?
- Like I should be dead.
333
00:18:00,640 --> 00:18:02,759
That's not gonna
happen. We're Team Flash.
334
00:18:02,760 --> 00:18:04,379
We always watch each other's backs.
335
00:18:04,380 --> 00:18:05,719
We always keep each other safe.
336
00:18:05,720 --> 00:18:08,239
Meanwhile, over here in the real world,
337
00:18:08,240 --> 00:18:10,309
our black hole keeps growing up.
338
00:18:10,310 --> 00:18:13,409
Only next time it pops up,
it won't just be Jitters.
339
00:18:13,410 --> 00:18:15,079
The whole city could be in danger.
340
00:18:15,080 --> 00:18:17,150
Why did this thing show
up outside Jitters, anyway?
341
00:18:17,160 --> 00:18:19,629
What does a coffee shop have
in common with a junkyard?
342
00:18:19,630 --> 00:18:22,329
I think I know who can tell us.
343
00:18:24,400 --> 00:18:26,489
Okay, so I followed up with CCPD's list
344
00:18:26,490 --> 00:18:27,709
of junkyard robberies.
345
00:18:27,710 --> 00:18:29,499
Ten of them were persons of interest,
346
00:18:29,500 --> 00:18:31,909
nine were career
criminals, but this one guy,
347
00:18:31,910 --> 00:18:34,260
a scientist, was let go with a warning
348
00:18:34,270 --> 00:18:37,430
after being caught
stealing old lab equipment.
349
00:18:37,440 --> 00:18:40,439
Team Flash, meet Chester P. Runk.
350
00:18:40,440 --> 00:18:43,379
Hey, what up, party people?
351
00:18:43,380 --> 00:18:45,469
Welcome to a world where all are welcome
352
00:18:45,470 --> 00:18:49,429
and anything, including the
scientifically impossible,
353
00:18:49,430 --> 00:18:52,449
can and probably will happen.
354
00:18:52,450 --> 00:18:53,570
I'm your boy
355
00:18:53,580 --> 00:18:55,849
Chugga-Chugga-Chugga-Chugga Chester...
356
00:18:55,850 --> 00:18:58,269
I really like him.
357
00:18:58,270 --> 00:19:01,369
With knowledge from the
bleeding edge of physics
358
00:19:01,370 --> 00:19:04,530
and beyond-beyond-beyond.
359
00:19:04,540 --> 00:19:06,109
I've been working on that echo.
360
00:19:06,110 --> 00:19:09,709
And... and yes, as usual,
I am fueled by some...
361
00:19:09,710 --> 00:19:11,969
mm, damn fine coffee
362
00:19:11,970 --> 00:19:14,289
from everyone's favorite beanery.
363
00:19:14,290 --> 00:19:17,119
Poured, of course, to, uh, perfection
364
00:19:17,120 --> 00:19:19,169
by a certain special someone.
365
00:19:19,170 --> 00:19:22,809
Huh, huh, huh?
366
00:19:22,810 --> 00:19:26,460
Uh, no, WookieLover77, I...
367
00:19:26,470 --> 00:19:29,339
I have not asked her out yet,
368
00:19:29,340 --> 00:19:31,080
but I got my punch card, okay?
369
00:19:31,090 --> 00:19:34,259
Three more Vibe-achinos and
I'm making my move, baby.
370
00:19:34,260 --> 00:19:36,129
I'm making my move, baby.
371
00:19:36,130 --> 00:19:37,719
I'm making my move, baby!
372
00:19:37,720 --> 00:19:40,329
Okay, he talks about
Natalie for a while, so...
373
00:19:40,330 --> 00:19:42,260
There we go.
374
00:19:46,090 --> 00:19:48,029
Is he building what
I think he's building?
375
00:19:48,030 --> 00:19:50,620
Behold, believers:
376
00:19:50,630 --> 00:19:52,129
a gravitational wave emitter
377
00:19:52,130 --> 00:19:53,920
powered by a modulated neutrino charger.
378
00:19:53,930 --> 00:19:55,489
In other words,
379
00:19:55,490 --> 00:19:58,279
"Time to call some aliens."
380
00:19:58,280 --> 00:20:01,380
- He built this in his garage?
- Using nothing but trash.
381
00:20:01,390 --> 00:20:04,119
What a legend. Oh, he's turning it on.
382
00:20:04,120 --> 00:20:07,049
Uh... uh, no.
383
00:20:07,050 --> 00:20:09,999
No, no, no, that's not
supposed to do that.
384
00:20:10,000 --> 00:20:12,649
Oh, crap. Uh, hold on.
385
00:20:19,100 --> 00:20:21,509
Okay, not exactly getting
the supervillain vibe
386
00:20:21,510 --> 00:20:22,849
from our boy Chester here.
387
00:20:22,850 --> 00:20:24,700
He opened a black hole by accident.
388
00:20:24,710 --> 00:20:26,489
And what about Chester? Is he okay?
389
00:20:26,490 --> 00:20:28,809
Well, police reports show
that EMTs took him to the ER,
390
00:20:28,810 --> 00:20:30,519
but then after that the trail goes cold.
391
00:20:30,520 --> 00:20:32,189
Just a tiny question here:
392
00:20:32,190 --> 00:20:35,819
how do we destroy a black hole?
393
00:20:44,750 --> 00:20:47,379
Well, I am not a doctor,
394
00:20:47,380 --> 00:20:48,869
but I'm gonna assume in this case
395
00:20:48,870 --> 00:20:50,999
that "negative" means a positive.
396
00:20:51,000 --> 00:20:52,180
Not if it means being clueless
397
00:20:52,190 --> 00:20:53,929
about why my powers won't work.
398
00:20:53,930 --> 00:20:56,669
Did anything out of the
ordinary happen recently?
399
00:20:56,670 --> 00:20:59,730
I went to my friend Ramsey's
mom's funeral yesterday.
400
00:20:59,740 --> 00:21:01,149
Anything unusual about the service?
401
00:21:01,150 --> 00:21:03,180
No, it was a lovely service
402
00:21:03,190 --> 00:21:05,770
for an inspiring woman.
403
00:21:05,780 --> 00:21:08,909
Then, today, I nearly
got sucked into oblivion.
404
00:21:08,910 --> 00:21:10,879
Has our frosty femme fatale
405
00:21:10,880 --> 00:21:13,749
ever refused to come
out like this before?
406
00:21:13,750 --> 00:21:17,319
The last time I can think of
is right after my dad died.
407
00:21:17,320 --> 00:21:18,739
Right.
408
00:21:18,740 --> 00:21:19,999
So you think funeral
409
00:21:20,000 --> 00:21:22,369
plus nearly getting
sucked into a black hole
410
00:21:22,370 --> 00:21:25,329
equals Killer Frost is afraid of dying?
411
00:21:25,330 --> 00:21:27,039
Maybe...
412
00:21:27,040 --> 00:21:29,389
but I know we're gonna figure this out.
413
00:21:39,320 --> 00:21:41,839
This place creeps me out.
414
00:21:43,550 --> 00:21:45,809
Will this sort you out?
415
00:21:47,650 --> 00:21:50,740
Nice doing business with you.
416
00:21:55,200 --> 00:21:56,789
Whoever pissed you off
417
00:21:56,790 --> 00:22:00,889
won't be a problem anymore.
418
00:22:07,380 --> 00:22:09,459
Chester P. Runk is here?
419
00:22:11,440 --> 00:22:13,879
Ward nurses say he's been
catatonic since he arrived.
420
00:22:13,880 --> 00:22:16,719
Just involuntary muscle spasms.
421
00:22:22,930 --> 00:22:25,229
Chester?
422
00:22:30,610 --> 00:22:33,569
My name is Iris West-Allen,
I'm a reporter.
423
00:22:37,040 --> 00:22:39,620
Chester, can you hear me?
424
00:22:45,930 --> 00:22:48,419
He was our only lead.
425
00:22:49,790 --> 00:22:51,439
Iris.
426
00:22:53,300 --> 00:22:57,259
You lost something of Nora's
last night, didn't you?
427
00:22:57,260 --> 00:23:00,000
Something that Joe
accidentally threw away,
428
00:23:00,004 --> 00:23:03,215
it ended up at that junkyard.
429
00:23:10,120 --> 00:23:13,199
I just miss her so much.
430
00:23:15,110 --> 00:23:18,489
Every day, every minute.
431
00:23:18,490 --> 00:23:21,659
And I know that is selfish because...
432
00:23:21,660 --> 00:23:24,139
one day I may get to see Nora again.
433
00:23:26,330 --> 00:23:28,110
But it won't be our Nora, you know?
434
00:23:28,120 --> 00:23:31,569
The one that we knew, the
one that we have pictures of,
435
00:23:31,570 --> 00:23:33,500
the one that we grew
to love, you know...
436
00:23:36,470 --> 00:23:38,799
That Nora is gone forever.
437
00:23:41,970 --> 00:23:45,809
And I guess because of
that you know, I just...
438
00:23:45,810 --> 00:23:47,659
I don't know how I'm supposed to feel.
439
00:23:47,660 --> 00:23:51,069
Iris, you do not get to
cheat the grieving process
440
00:23:51,070 --> 00:23:54,249
just because you know you're
gonna see Nora again someday.
441
00:23:56,150 --> 00:23:59,200
Yeah, you're right.
442
00:23:59,210 --> 00:24:00,589
I guess I just haven't been able
443
00:24:00,590 --> 00:24:03,509
to put into words how I've been feeling.
444
00:24:10,430 --> 00:24:12,680
Iris?
445
00:24:15,000 --> 00:24:17,689
What is it?
446
00:24:26,110 --> 00:24:28,309
It's Chester.
447
00:24:36,450 --> 00:24:38,540
Oh, my God.
448
00:24:40,530 --> 00:24:42,860
You're looking at the world's first
449
00:24:42,870 --> 00:24:46,280
inverse mass angular momentum disruptor,
450
00:24:46,290 --> 00:24:50,509
but we can just call
it a stellar grenade.
451
00:24:50,510 --> 00:24:51,989
Cool.
452
00:24:51,990 --> 00:24:54,510
So this will destroy the black hole?
453
00:24:54,520 --> 00:24:57,309
As long as it doesn't get much bigger,
454
00:24:57,310 --> 00:25:00,350
this will reverse the hole's
mass-collecting properties,
455
00:25:00,360 --> 00:25:01,689
causing it to...
456
00:25:01,690 --> 00:25:02,859
Implode.
457
00:25:02,860 --> 00:25:05,149
Just toss it in the event horizon;
458
00:25:05,150 --> 00:25:08,289
hasta lasagna, don't get any on you.
459
00:25:08,290 --> 00:25:11,679
We can't.
460
00:25:11,680 --> 00:25:14,250
If we destroy it, we're
gonna kill Chester too.
461
00:25:22,100 --> 00:25:23,689
You sure about this?
462
00:25:23,690 --> 00:25:26,019
Yeah, the corona's flair
matched the exact cadence
463
00:25:26,020 --> 00:25:27,199
of Chester's fingers.
464
00:25:27,200 --> 00:25:30,750
So the black hole and
Chester are connected?
465
00:25:30,760 --> 00:25:33,649
Actually, I think Chester
is the black hole.
466
00:25:33,650 --> 00:25:37,199
Watch this: so normally,
stimuli enters the brain
467
00:25:37,200 --> 00:25:39,399
through the sensory area,
goes up to the temporal lobe,
468
00:25:39,400 --> 00:25:40,779
and then back around,
469
00:25:40,780 --> 00:25:43,830
but watch what happens
in Chester's brain.
470
00:25:43,870 --> 00:25:45,359
It starts in the right area,
471
00:25:45,360 --> 00:25:47,630
but halfway through its
rotation, it disappears.
472
00:25:49,090 --> 00:25:51,039
I think I know where it's going.
473
00:25:53,310 --> 00:25:55,789
You're looking at a map of
the negative ionic energy
474
00:25:55,790 --> 00:25:56,829
inside the black hole.
475
00:25:56,830 --> 00:25:58,509
Watch what happens when an energy pulse
476
00:25:58,510 --> 00:26:00,050
travels along its tendrils.
477
00:26:00,060 --> 00:26:02,559
See how it stops halfway?
478
00:26:04,490 --> 00:26:08,430
The black hole is the other
half of Chester's mind.
479
00:26:08,440 --> 00:26:09,899
It's his consciousness.
480
00:26:09,900 --> 00:26:11,599
Maybe it's been showing up
481
00:26:11,600 --> 00:26:15,069
in places that hold an
emotional attachment for him,
482
00:26:15,070 --> 00:26:17,630
like the junkyard where he
stole stuff for his projects.
483
00:26:17,640 --> 00:26:19,300
He's got a crush on a girl at Jitters.
484
00:26:19,310 --> 00:26:22,139
Okay, so all we have to
do is get Chester's mind
485
00:26:22,140 --> 00:26:24,319
out of the black hole,
reunite it with his body,
486
00:26:24,320 --> 00:26:26,410
and once his condition stabilizes,
487
00:26:26,420 --> 00:26:28,779
the black hole should just collapse.
488
00:26:28,780 --> 00:26:32,119
Right, but they don't exactly
teach that in med school.
489
00:26:32,120 --> 00:26:33,659
Okay, but we can't just let Chester die.
490
00:26:33,660 --> 00:26:36,459
We have to do something.
491
00:26:39,430 --> 00:26:41,549
Look, I don't like saying it,
492
00:26:41,550 --> 00:26:46,049
but I think we need to consider it.
493
00:26:46,050 --> 00:26:47,380
Cisco, I know where you're going.
494
00:26:47,390 --> 00:26:49,050
And you know we already have a way
495
00:26:49,060 --> 00:26:50,539
of beating this before
it gets any bigger.
496
00:26:50,540 --> 00:26:52,809
- We're not discussing this.
- You think I like saying this?
497
00:26:52,810 --> 00:26:55,519
I don't, but if we don't
find a solution for this
498
00:26:55,520 --> 00:26:57,369
and find one now, we're
gonna have to make a choice
499
00:26:57,370 --> 00:26:58,869
down the line, and it's
either gonna be Chester
500
00:26:58,870 --> 00:27:00,199
or it's gonna be
everyone in Central City.
501
00:27:00,200 --> 00:27:03,039
I'm not losing anyone else!
502
00:27:04,530 --> 00:27:06,619
I'm... let's find another way.
503
00:27:11,640 --> 00:27:15,160
_
504
00:27:21,550 --> 00:27:24,089
Where's the meltdown?
505
00:27:24,090 --> 00:27:26,639
We gotta talk.
506
00:27:26,640 --> 00:27:29,570
What is your problem?
507
00:27:31,310 --> 00:27:33,239
My problem is, we needed you,
508
00:27:33,240 --> 00:27:36,239
and you were holed up in
your Snow-tress of Solitude.
509
00:27:36,240 --> 00:27:38,059
I mean, you even refused
to come out at Jitters.
510
00:27:38,060 --> 00:27:40,769
Flash was there, so spare
me the little hallway chat...
511
00:27:40,770 --> 00:27:44,709
and I'm not afraid of dying.
512
00:27:44,710 --> 00:27:47,750
I know that, but you
are afraid of living.
513
00:27:47,760 --> 00:27:51,119
Thomas's death, the funeral,
what happened at Jitters:
514
00:27:51,120 --> 00:27:53,049
all those things happened to Caitlin.
515
00:27:53,050 --> 00:27:54,879
She also led her high school debate team
516
00:27:54,880 --> 00:27:56,119
to back-to-back championships.
517
00:27:56,120 --> 00:27:59,459
She went to med school.
She married Ronnie.
518
00:27:59,460 --> 00:28:01,359
- Those are her memories.
- Yes, I know.
519
00:28:01,360 --> 00:28:03,749
I was there.
520
00:28:03,750 --> 00:28:05,379
What's your point?
521
00:28:05,380 --> 00:28:06,919
Having Caitlin's memories
522
00:28:06,920 --> 00:28:09,279
isn't the same as having your own.
523
00:28:09,280 --> 00:28:10,969
Like you'd know anything about that.
524
00:28:10,970 --> 00:28:12,449
I know it sucked sitting courtside
525
00:28:12,450 --> 00:28:14,639
for the Thinker show
when he hijacked my body,
526
00:28:14,640 --> 00:28:17,269
and I think that you've been
going through something similar
527
00:28:17,270 --> 00:28:19,810
since Thomas died.
528
00:28:19,830 --> 00:28:21,379
And after being at that funeral,
529
00:28:21,380 --> 00:28:24,140
seeing that woman live
the last days of her life
530
00:28:24,150 --> 00:28:26,810
to the fullest, I
think that made you want
531
00:28:26,820 --> 00:28:28,460
want to start living
your best life right now.
532
00:28:28,470 --> 00:28:32,440
That's not my gig, okay?
533
00:28:32,450 --> 00:28:35,899

00:39:27,000 --> 00:39:28,999
So, what made you believe
711
00:39:29,000 --> 00:39:31,600
that you could carry
Chester out of that place?
712
00:39:31,610 --> 00:39:34,869
You made me believe I could do it.
713
00:39:34,870 --> 00:39:39,400
I realized we could be
each other's support group,
714
00:39:39,410 --> 00:39:41,839
even though it's gonna take some time.
715
00:39:41,840 --> 00:39:44,119
If we can carry a
memory like this together
716
00:39:44,120 --> 00:39:46,670
in our hearts, carrying
somebody's consciousness
717
00:39:46,680 --> 00:39:48,759
out of a black hole?
718
00:39:48,760 --> 00:39:50,379
It's a piece of cake.
719
00:39:51,810 --> 00:39:54,560
Besides, how else could
I get this back for you?
720
00:40:05,140 --> 00:40:08,599
I know it's not as
good as Nora's video...
721
00:40:14,940 --> 00:40:17,000
It's better.
722
00:40:17,010 --> 00:40:19,759
Now we have something that
we can honor Nora with.
723
00:40:19,760 --> 00:40:21,929
She was pretty "schway."
724
00:40:34,620 --> 00:40:36,609
What do you want?
725
00:40:36,610 --> 00:40:39,329
For your universe to survive.
726
00:40:39,330 --> 00:40:41,280
The plinth...
727
00:40:41,290 --> 00:40:42,480
you destroyed it.
728
00:40:42,490 --> 00:40:43,790
You destroyed Nora's message.
729
00:40:43,800 --> 00:40:47,349
An unfortunate side effect.
730
00:40:47,350 --> 00:40:49,849
But I needed to discourage you.
731
00:40:49,850 --> 00:40:51,619
From doing what?
732
00:40:51,620 --> 00:40:53,499
Hoping.
733
00:40:53,500 --> 00:40:56,080
Your determination
is boundless, Flash...
734
00:40:56,090 --> 00:40:58,140
it is one of your greatest qualities...
735
00:40:58,150 --> 00:41:00,309
but you cannot avoid the coming Crisis.
736
00:41:00,310 --> 00:41:02,519
Barry has five years before he vanishes.
737
00:41:02,520 --> 00:41:04,269
No longer.
738
00:41:04,270 --> 00:41:08,109
December 10, 2019.
739
00:41:08,110 --> 00:41:11,799
On that day, he will answer the call
740
00:41:11,800 --> 00:41:14,069
and make the ultimate sacrifice.
741
00:41:14,070 --> 00:41:16,430
Soon...
742
00:41:16,440 --> 00:41:18,269
this world will fight for the fate
743
00:41:18,270 --> 00:41:19,849
of all the known universes.
744
00:41:19,850 --> 00:41:22,350
I'm not gonna leave my family.
745
00:41:22,360 --> 00:41:24,540
There has to be a way
to stop what's coming.
746
00:41:24,550 --> 00:41:26,769
I am sorry,
747
00:41:26,770 --> 00:41:28,479
but events have been set into motion
748
00:41:28,480 --> 00:41:30,549
that you cannot possibly comprehend.
749
00:41:30,550 --> 00:41:32,939
I don't need to understand them!
750
00:41:32,940 --> 00:41:34,399
Just tell me what I can do.
751
00:41:34,400 --> 00:41:37,309
To survive?
752
00:41:37,310 --> 00:41:39,339
You can't.
753
00:41:39,340 --> 00:41:41,390
In order for billions to survive
754
00:41:41,400 --> 00:41:44,179
this coming Crisis,
755
00:41:44,180 --> 00:41:47,069
the Flash must die.
