1
00:00:00,140 --> 00:00:01,541
Last season, on "The Flash"...
2
00:00:01,544 --> 00:00:02,406
Hey, Mom and Dad.
3
00:00:02,409 --> 00:00:03,660
If you're watching this,
4
00:00:03,663 --> 00:00:05,533
it means that something went wrong.
5
00:00:05,536 --> 00:00:08,226
- Mom, what's happening?
- A new timeline is setting in.
6
00:00:08,229 --> 00:00:10,291
- Thank you for everything.
- I love you.
7
00:00:13,303 --> 00:00:15,963
Look, Kamilla, I don't want
to keep this from you anymore.
8
00:00:15,966 --> 00:00:18,842
If being Vibe is a part
of the life you want,
9
00:00:18,845 --> 00:00:20,418
I would never get in the way of that.
10
00:00:20,421 --> 00:00:21,403
I wanna take the cure.
11
00:00:21,406 --> 00:00:23,722
Killer Frost and I are
really gonna miss Vibe.
12
00:00:23,725 --> 00:00:25,642
Me, too.
13
00:00:25,645 --> 00:00:27,424
Dad...
14
00:00:27,427 --> 00:00:29,802
I would like my
replacement to be you, Joe.
15
00:00:29,805 --> 00:00:31,929
- As captain?
- Captain Joe West.
16
00:00:31,932 --> 00:00:34,527
None of you can stop
what's been set into motion
17
00:00:34,530 --> 00:00:36,029
because nothing you can do
18
00:00:36,032 --> 00:00:39,561
can alter what's about to happen.
19
00:00:43,494 --> 00:00:46,328
It's a system-wide power surge.
20
00:00:51,594 --> 00:00:53,969
It's coming from the Time Vault.
21
00:00:56,599 --> 00:00:59,268
- Are we under attack?
- I don't know.
22
00:00:59,271 --> 00:01:01,676
Whatever's going on
started the moment we left.
23
00:01:02,796 --> 00:01:04,963
I wasn't perfect.
24
00:01:04,965 --> 00:01:08,258
Please remember that I love you both...
25
00:01:08,260 --> 00:01:09,851
and I always will.
26
00:01:09,853 --> 00:01:11,186
And I always will.
27
00:01:11,188 --> 00:01:13,188
And I always will... always... always...
28
00:01:22,699 --> 00:01:25,793
Barry, Nora's message.
29
00:01:28,781 --> 00:01:31,573
- Synced and corrected by VitoSilans -
-- www.Addic7ed.com --
30
00:01:31,575 --> 00:01:33,398
Why is it every time I come to visit
31
00:01:33,401 --> 00:01:34,788
there's always a crisis?
32
00:01:34,791 --> 00:01:36,872
Comes with the meta-territory.
33
00:01:36,875 --> 00:01:39,426
750 mph. He's getting faster.
34
00:01:39,429 --> 00:01:41,475
Who is this guy, anyway?
35
00:01:41,477 --> 00:01:43,086
An old family friend.
36
00:01:46,639 --> 00:01:49,282
His name's Godspeed, and
he's from the future.
37
00:01:51,562 --> 00:01:53,761
He's like a fake speedster.
38
00:01:53,763 --> 00:01:55,722
What's that?
39
00:01:58,160 --> 00:02:00,402
The real deal.
40
00:02:15,785 --> 00:02:17,878
Kick his butt, Barry!
41
00:02:17,880 --> 00:02:20,046
Done and doner.
42
00:02:33,696 --> 00:02:36,554
Who are you and what are
you doing in Central City?
43
00:02:42,881 --> 00:02:46,021
He's just like the others: no
language skills, just noise.
44
00:02:46,024 --> 00:02:48,194
- Lovely.
- What was that?
45
00:02:48,197 --> 00:02:50,377
The fourth Godspeed
we've caught this summer
46
00:02:50,379 --> 00:02:52,461
and still no sign of Mr. August Heart.
47
00:02:52,464 --> 00:02:54,497
Just another dummy who
can't communicate anything
48
00:02:54,500 --> 00:02:55,957
beyond modem speak.
49
00:02:55,959 --> 00:02:58,091
All right, I'm clocking out.
50
00:02:58,094 --> 00:03:00,911
Why don't you drop off
G4 at Iron Heights, Barry?
51
00:03:00,914 --> 00:03:04,507
I don't think we're figuring
out this mystery today.
52
00:03:06,013 --> 00:03:07,465
This is nice, Dad.
53
00:03:07,468 --> 00:03:08,802
We should do this way more often.
54
00:03:08,805 --> 00:03:09,879
Agreed.
55
00:03:09,881 --> 00:03:11,547
Hey, before I forget,
56
00:03:11,549 --> 00:03:13,434
congratulations on "The Citizen."
57
00:03:13,437 --> 00:03:14,625
Yeah, well, you know,
58
00:03:14,628 --> 00:03:16,078
there's millions of
people in Central City
59
00:03:16,080 --> 00:03:18,404
and I've only got a couple
hundred thousand subscribers.
60
00:03:18,407 --> 00:03:19,931
You know, I'm no CCPN.
61
00:03:19,933 --> 00:03:22,252
Well, not yet, but in about ten years
62
00:03:22,255 --> 00:03:24,601
it'll be a Pulitzer Prize-winning empire.
63
00:03:24,604 --> 00:03:26,655
Baby steps, Dad.
64
00:03:26,657 --> 00:03:28,916
Mm, damn, this is good.
65
00:03:28,918 --> 00:03:30,666
You know you can't get drunk.
66
00:03:30,669 --> 00:03:32,420
I don't even care,
that's how good this is.
67
00:03:32,423 --> 00:03:34,903
Never fear, the party's here!
68
00:03:36,580 --> 00:03:38,321
We brought my famous ambrosia salad
69
00:03:38,324 --> 00:03:39,668
and veggie dogs for Ralph.
70
00:03:39,670 --> 00:03:41,002
Guys, Ralph's still in Peru.
71
00:03:41,004 --> 00:03:43,069
Or Monaco... or Texas?
72
00:03:43,072 --> 00:03:44,430
All that for a missing person's case?
73
00:03:44,432 --> 00:03:45,956
That's dedication.
74
00:03:45,959 --> 00:03:49,144
Guys, guys, what are we doing?
75
00:03:49,147 --> 00:03:51,974
Baby Jenna is napping
like a little angel
76
00:03:51,977 --> 00:03:54,091
and I have creamed corn,
I have candied yams,
77
00:03:54,093 --> 00:03:56,659
I have collard greens.
78
00:03:56,661 --> 00:03:58,512
- Baby, let's eat.
- Yum!
79
00:03:58,514 --> 00:04:01,539
Yeah!
80
00:04:10,550 --> 00:04:12,884
- How's the MAC coming?
- There's mac and cheese too?
81
00:04:14,321 --> 00:04:16,511
No, the Mental Augmentation Chamber.
82
00:04:16,514 --> 00:04:18,890
Basically, it allows us
to tap into the Speed Force
83
00:04:18,892 --> 00:04:20,468
to boost Barry's cognitive abilities.
84
00:04:20,471 --> 00:04:23,185
It would allow him to see every
possible outcome to a scenario
85
00:04:23,188 --> 00:04:24,216
at the same time.
86
00:04:24,219 --> 00:04:25,248
So speed-thinking.
87
00:04:25,251 --> 00:04:27,228
Which means we'll be able
to catch all the bad guys faster.
88
00:04:27,230 --> 00:04:28,762
With all the ones that
you brought in this summer,
89
00:04:28,764 --> 00:04:30,858
Barry, the DA's office can
barely keep up with you.
90
00:04:30,861 --> 00:04:32,009
Hey, since the MAC's done,
91
00:04:32,012 --> 00:04:33,345
we should take it for a test run.
92
00:04:33,348 --> 00:04:34,482
Absolutely not.
93
00:04:34,485 --> 00:04:35,958
You know we're still
working out diagnostics.
94
00:04:35,960 --> 00:04:37,551
We could put in a few hours tonight,
95
00:04:37,553 --> 00:04:38,453
get a head start.
96
00:04:38,456 --> 00:04:39,767
Barry...
97
00:04:39,770 --> 00:04:41,312
If there's anything I've learned
98
00:04:41,315 --> 00:04:42,940
since leaving Vibe behind,
99
00:04:42,943 --> 00:04:45,535
it's that we all have a
work-life balance to protect,
100
00:04:45,538 --> 00:04:49,448
and right now, mine is
tipping towards more beer.
101
00:04:52,288 --> 00:04:55,099
Besides, I still gotta
tweak the mainframe
102
00:04:55,102 --> 00:04:58,645
and I can't do that without...
103
00:04:58,648 --> 00:04:59,907
Uh...
104
00:04:59,909 --> 00:05:01,983
Every time.
105
00:05:01,985 --> 00:05:03,911
- My tablet.
- Yeah.
106
00:05:03,913 --> 00:05:06,521
Thank you.
107
00:05:06,523 --> 00:05:08,898
I'm gonna go get that beer.
108
00:05:11,797 --> 00:05:13,587
Hey, so the last time
I talked to you guys,
109
00:05:13,589 --> 00:05:16,831
you seemed good.
110
00:05:16,833 --> 00:05:19,927
You guys good?
111
00:05:19,929 --> 00:05:22,003
Um...
112
00:05:22,005 --> 00:05:23,579
we were devastated at first,
113
00:05:23,581 --> 00:05:25,395
but Nora's only gone for right now.
114
00:05:25,398 --> 00:05:26,689
We're gonna have kids someday
115
00:05:26,692 --> 00:05:29,710
and then we'll have another Nora.
116
00:05:29,713 --> 00:05:32,598
Yeah, I think knowing that
we have a second chance
117
00:05:32,601 --> 00:05:34,268
makes all the difference.
118
00:05:35,845 --> 00:05:39,037
I gotta go, a break-in
at Eastside Industrial.
119
00:05:40,850 --> 00:05:43,041
Dad, um, I meant to ask you,
120
00:05:43,043 --> 00:05:45,232
what did you do with those boxes
121
00:05:45,235 --> 00:05:46,586
that were in the back of the garage?
122
00:05:46,588 --> 00:05:49,931
Oh, he finally threw them away.
123
00:05:49,933 --> 00:05:51,799
Thank you very much.
124
00:05:51,801 --> 00:05:53,085
Okay, I gotta make a call.
125
00:05:55,364 --> 00:05:57,681
Guys, I'm sorry, I actually
have to sneak out too.
126
00:05:57,684 --> 00:06:00,235
A friend of mine from med
school needs my support.
127
00:06:00,238 --> 00:06:02,738
Thanks for having me, it was delicious.
128
00:06:02,741 --> 00:06:05,834
Bye, Caitlin.
129
00:06:05,837 --> 00:06:07,690
You notice ain't nobody help clean up?
130
00:06:10,070 --> 00:06:13,905
My name is Ramsey Rosso,
131
00:06:13,907 --> 00:06:16,908
and my mother, Dr. Rachel Rosso,
132
00:06:16,910 --> 00:06:18,960
was everything to me.
133
00:06:18,962 --> 00:06:21,555
When I was seven,
134
00:06:21,557 --> 00:06:23,581
I skidded out pretty badly
on a bike she bought me
135
00:06:23,583 --> 00:06:26,251
for my birthday.
136
00:06:26,253 --> 00:06:28,211
Imagine a scared kid
with two scraped knees
137
00:06:28,213 --> 00:06:30,129
and a bloody nose.
138
00:06:30,131 --> 00:06:33,716
When Mum found me,
she picked me right up,
139
00:06:33,718 --> 00:06:35,903
she brushed me off,
140
00:06:35,905 --> 00:06:39,406
and told me to get back
on my bike and ride.
141
00:06:40,984 --> 00:06:44,411
I tried, but I couldn't.
142
00:06:44,413 --> 00:06:46,396
It was almost like I was paralyzed,
143
00:06:46,398 --> 00:06:48,690
it hurt so bad.
144
00:06:48,692 --> 00:06:52,419
That's when she told
me that I would heal.
145
00:06:52,421 --> 00:06:55,571
That I must never let
a little pain stop me
146
00:06:55,573 --> 00:06:58,091
from getting to where
I needed to go in life,
147
00:06:58,093 --> 00:07:01,286
and she was right.
148
00:07:01,288 --> 00:07:03,746
I did heal.
149
00:07:05,583 --> 00:07:08,176
Enough to grow up
150
00:07:08,178 --> 00:07:10,420
and follow in her footsteps.
151
00:07:12,942 --> 00:07:17,110
And even though a
beautiful life was cut short
152
00:07:17,112 --> 00:07:19,947
when she lost her
battle to heal herself...
153
00:07:22,267 --> 00:07:25,285
She is still helping me to get
to where I need to go today.
154
00:07:33,462 --> 00:07:35,963
And for that, I will always be grateful.
155
00:07:39,367 --> 00:07:41,451
Thank you, Jonathan.
156
00:07:41,453 --> 00:07:43,804
Ramsey, hi.
157
00:07:45,332 --> 00:07:47,641
I'm so sorry for your loss.
158
00:07:47,643 --> 00:07:49,391
Your mother was an incredible woman.
159
00:07:49,394 --> 00:07:50,885
I'm gonna miss her.
160
00:07:50,887 --> 00:07:53,004
It means so much that you came.
161
00:07:53,006 --> 00:07:56,174
Mum actually saw something
of herself in you.
162
00:07:56,176 --> 00:07:58,306
Probably because you're
both overachievers.
163
00:07:59,738 --> 00:08:02,180
Your hands are so cold.
164
00:08:03,808 --> 00:08:06,067
Are you all right?
165
00:08:07,830 --> 00:08:09,455
Yeah, sorry, I'm fine.
166
00:08:09,458 --> 00:08:12,165
Um, probably just coming
down with something.
167
00:08:12,167 --> 00:08:13,667
Well, I hope not.
168
00:08:13,669 --> 00:08:16,110
- Doctors make rubbish patients.
- Mm.
169
00:08:16,112 --> 00:08:17,862
It was nice to see you.
170
00:08:17,864 --> 00:08:21,324
Eh, Caitlin?
171
00:08:21,326 --> 00:08:24,419
Things have been a bit, um, crazy.
172
00:08:26,706 --> 00:08:29,707
Do you fancy coming around
for a cuppa sometime?
173
00:08:29,709 --> 00:08:32,567
You know, for a proper catch-up.
174
00:08:32,570 --> 00:08:34,709
I could really use someone
to talk to right now.
175
00:08:34,712 --> 00:08:36,130
Of course, any time.
176
00:08:36,132 --> 00:08:39,008
Just give me a call.
177
00:08:49,204 --> 00:08:51,687
Well, my log says that
your father's stuff
178
00:08:51,689 --> 00:08:54,249
should have ended up
somewhere around here.
179
00:09:00,489 --> 00:09:03,408
Here it is.
180
00:09:13,970 --> 00:09:15,771
Must be pretty important.
181
00:09:15,773 --> 00:09:19,566
Yeah, it is.
182
00:09:19,568 --> 00:09:21,592
Thanks.
183
00:09:29,394 --> 00:09:32,728
Whoa, whoa, whoa.
184
00:09:32,730 --> 00:09:35,383
H-hang on!
185
00:09:35,386 --> 00:09:37,417
I've got you!
186
00:09:52,167 --> 00:09:54,601
You okay?
187
00:10:01,610 --> 00:10:04,403
What the hell?
188
00:10:11,196 --> 00:10:13,695
I missed you last night.
Are you sure you're okay?
189
00:10:13,697 --> 00:10:14,955
Yeah.
190
00:10:14,957 --> 00:10:18,483
What were you doing out here anyway?
191
00:10:18,485 --> 00:10:21,202
I was following up on a lead.
192
00:10:21,204 --> 00:10:23,327
"The Citizen" got a tip
193
00:10:23,330 --> 00:10:26,341
that there were a series
of junkyard robberies.
194
00:10:26,343 --> 00:10:30,578
People file police
reports for stolen trash?
195
00:10:30,581 --> 00:10:32,963
Yeah, well, you know,
196
00:10:32,966 --> 00:10:34,995
not everything that's here is garbage.
197
00:10:39,389 --> 00:10:41,506
Everything here is garbage!
198
00:10:41,508 --> 00:10:43,216
I hate garbage.
199
00:10:43,218 --> 00:10:45,009
Okay, have fun with Ghostbusters.
200
00:10:45,011 --> 00:10:46,653
- I'll see you at home.
- Mm-hmm.
201
00:10:48,640 --> 00:10:51,349
What do you got?
202
00:10:51,351 --> 00:10:54,018
This site is littered...
no pun intended...
203
00:10:54,020 --> 00:10:56,997
with gamma rays and magnetar fields.
204
00:10:56,999 --> 00:10:58,981
What are you saying?
Iris was attacked by a...
205
00:10:58,984 --> 00:11:02,169
Yeah, a frakkin' black hole.
206
00:11:08,010 --> 00:11:11,827
That is a whole lot of
information to disseminate.
207
00:11:11,829 --> 00:11:13,496
No one's ever
extrapolated this much data
208
00:11:13,498 --> 00:11:14,656
from a black hole before.
209
00:11:14,659 --> 00:11:17,258
We can be the first.
210
00:11:17,260 --> 00:11:18,989
Come on, we're Team Flash!
211
00:11:18,992 --> 00:11:21,195
What did you put in his coffee?
212
00:11:21,198 --> 00:11:22,632
Okay, a black hole just showed up
213
00:11:22,635 --> 00:11:24,565
and nearly swallowed Iris.
214
00:11:24,568 --> 00:11:27,229
So let's crunch the numbers,
find out where it went.
215
00:11:27,232 --> 00:11:29,585
I'm sorry, are we looking
at the same screen?
216
00:11:29,588 --> 00:11:32,398
Creating a search algorithm
for this is gonna be like
217
00:11:32,400 --> 00:11:35,142
deciphering a mystery
wrapped up in an enigma.
218
00:11:35,144 --> 00:11:36,171
Then it's a good thing
219
00:11:36,174 --> 00:11:39,217
that "mystery" is my middle name.
220
00:11:41,034 --> 00:11:43,934
The name's Dibny...
221
00:11:43,936 --> 00:11:46,654
Ralph Dibny.
222
00:11:46,656 --> 00:11:48,563
Welcome back, Ralph.
223
00:11:48,565 --> 00:11:51,149
- It's good to see you, man.
- Nice threads.
224
00:11:51,151 --> 00:11:53,235
- Where'd you get them?
- Picked this up in the Opal.
225
00:11:53,237 --> 00:11:54,784
A missing person's case
226
00:11:54,787 --> 00:11:56,071
sent you all the way to Opal City?
227
00:11:56,073 --> 00:11:57,614
And beyond, my friend.
228
00:11:57,616 --> 00:11:59,526
A summer spent
undercover rubbing Rolexes
229
00:11:59,529 --> 00:12:01,201
with the wealthy elite.
230
00:12:01,204 --> 00:12:03,149
Did you guys know it's pronounced "yacht"
231
00:12:03,151 --> 00:12:04,746
and not "yah-kt"?
232
00:12:04,748 --> 00:12:06,507
- Yep.
- God, I missed you.
233
00:12:06,509 --> 00:12:08,342
Anyway, just following
any leads that might help
234
00:12:08,344 --> 00:12:11,025
explain the disappearance
of Sue Dearbon.
235
00:12:11,028 --> 00:12:13,425
I don't think I've ever seen
you this devoted to a case.
236
00:12:13,428 --> 00:12:16,846
Me neither, but this
one is a real tragedy.
237
00:12:16,849 --> 00:12:18,399
Maybe it was the look of desperation
238
00:12:18,402 --> 00:12:19,936
in her parents' eyes when they begged me
239
00:12:19,938 --> 00:12:21,379
to find their daughter.
240
00:12:21,382 --> 00:12:23,573
So, uh, what's new in Central City?
241
00:12:23,576 --> 00:12:26,577
We are trying to track a black hole.
242
00:12:26,580 --> 00:12:27,557
Of course you are.
243
00:12:27,560 --> 00:12:30,354
We were just about to start
decoding this data stream.
244
00:12:32,026 --> 00:12:34,451
Whoa, whoa, whoa!
245
00:12:34,454 --> 00:12:36,671
Ugh, I'm sorry, sorry.
246
00:12:36,673 --> 00:12:38,932
Been having these
random frost-outs lately.
247
00:12:38,934 --> 00:12:41,250
- For how long?
- All summer.
248
00:12:41,252 --> 00:12:43,150
It's happened twice in
the last couple of days.
249
00:12:43,153 --> 00:12:45,013
Cait, you're probably overworked.
250
00:12:45,015 --> 00:12:46,427
Maybe take a time out?
251
00:12:46,430 --> 00:12:48,257
A friend of mine did
want to meet for coffee.
252
00:12:48,259 --> 00:12:50,635
- Ramsey?
- Yeah.
253
00:12:50,637 --> 00:12:52,136
It's never easy losing a parent.
254
00:12:52,138 --> 00:12:54,263
Maybe you should take him up on it.
255
00:12:54,265 --> 00:12:56,449
I'll give him a call.
256
00:12:58,954 --> 00:13:01,288
Ah, found it.
257
00:13:01,290 --> 00:13:05,250
Theft report for Leawood
and New Brighton junkyard.
258
00:13:05,253 --> 00:13:06,335
See, I have a system.
259
00:13:06,338 --> 00:13:07,573
You're a hoarder, but I love you.
260
00:13:07,575 --> 00:13:09,370
Iris.
261
00:13:12,367 --> 00:13:14,659
Huh, these don't seem
262
00:13:14,661 --> 00:13:16,410
to have anything to
do with the black hole.
263
00:13:16,412 --> 00:13:19,288
They're just run-of-the-mill human thefts.
264
00:13:19,290 --> 00:13:22,559
Well, you have a list
of persons of interest,
265
00:13:22,562 --> 00:13:24,752
- in any case.
- Yeah, thank you.
266
00:13:24,754 --> 00:13:27,004
Um, I'll get right on this.
267
00:13:27,006 --> 00:13:29,515
Iris?
268
00:13:29,517 --> 00:13:32,093
- What's wrong?
- Nothing.
269
00:13:32,095 --> 00:13:34,428
I... I don't know, maybe
I'm still a little shaken up
270
00:13:34,430 --> 00:13:35,971
from the black hole.
271
00:13:35,973 --> 00:13:38,724
I'll be fine, thank you.
272
00:13:44,524 --> 00:13:46,273
You remembered how I like my lattes.
273
00:13:46,275 --> 00:13:48,693
With a bit of cinnamon, just like Mum.
274
00:13:48,695 --> 00:13:50,670
You know, of all her
CC Hospital residents,
275
00:13:50,672 --> 00:13:52,488
she really took a special liking to you.
276
00:13:52,490 --> 00:13:53,698
She was the first person
277
00:13:53,700 --> 00:13:55,842
to realize that I was
into cutting-edge tech.
278
00:13:55,844 --> 00:13:58,419
It was her letter of recommendation
279
00:13:58,421 --> 00:14:00,996
that started my career at S.T.A.R. Labs.
280
00:14:02,875 --> 00:14:06,019
I couldn't save her, Cait.
281
00:14:06,021 --> 00:14:09,022
Had to watch as her body betrayed her.
282
00:14:10,508 --> 00:14:12,800
Do you know how HLH works?
283
00:14:12,802 --> 00:14:15,195
Then you know the cancer
literally boils you
284
00:14:15,197 --> 00:14:17,197
from the inside out.
285
00:14:19,034 --> 00:14:22,852
Can you imagine what
that must have felt like?
286
00:14:22,854 --> 00:14:25,372
Watching her suffer...
287
00:14:27,859 --> 00:14:29,442
That's my last memory of her.
288
00:14:29,444 --> 00:14:31,026
Don't let it be.
289
00:14:31,028 --> 00:14:34,455
What you said at the funeral
about how brave she was?
290
00:14:34,457 --> 00:14:36,165
Remember that.
291
00:14:36,167 --> 00:14:38,743
I lied.
292
00:14:38,745 --> 00:14:41,250
Truth is, she was a coward.
293
00:14:41,253 --> 00:14:42,885
What do you mean?
294
00:14:42,888 --> 00:14:47,041
As a doctor, she knew her
chances of surviving were slim,
295
00:14:47,044 --> 00:14:50,713
so she just started ticking
things off her bucket list.
296
00:14:50,715 --> 00:14:52,098
Isn't that a good thing?
297
00:14:52,100 --> 00:14:54,008
She should have gone down fighting.
298
00:14:54,010 --> 00:14:56,302
Instead, she ran away.
299
00:14:56,304 --> 00:14:58,479
I didn't.
300
00:15:04,896 --> 00:15:06,937
In HLH, white blood cells attack
301
00:15:06,939 --> 00:15:08,314
the body's immune system.
302
00:15:08,316 --> 00:15:10,250
A median survival rate after diagnosis
303
00:15:10,252 --> 00:15:13,628
was two to six months.
304
00:15:13,630 --> 00:15:15,496
Not anymore.
305
00:15:17,926 --> 00:15:21,169
Oh, my God, this is a potential cure.
306
00:15:21,171 --> 00:15:23,096
But what's the bonding agent
307
00:15:23,098 --> 00:15:25,598
strengthening the body's defenses?
308
00:15:25,600 --> 00:15:27,034
Dark matter.
309
00:15:27,037 --> 00:15:28,935
I know what you're thinking, Cait.
310
00:15:28,937 --> 00:15:31,012
I thought the same
thing, too... at first.
311
00:15:31,014 --> 00:15:32,680
But I have been running
simulations for months,
312
00:15:32,682 --> 00:15:34,381
and they all show the same results.
313
00:15:34,384 --> 00:15:35,800
My cure will work.
314
00:15:35,802 --> 00:15:39,094
Or turn them into meta-humans
against their will.
315
00:15:39,096 --> 00:15:40,198
But I can save lives.
316
00:15:40,201 --> 00:15:42,761
I just need the dark matter
to start human trials.
317
00:15:43,859 --> 00:15:46,267
And that's why you wanted
to get coffee with me.
318
00:15:46,270 --> 00:15:48,488
S.T.A.R. Labs has the dark matter I need
319
00:15:48,490 --> 00:15:50,481
to take the next step;
you have access to it.
320
00:15:50,483 --> 00:15:53,776
Ramsey, your research,
it's groundbreaking,
321
00:15:53,778 --> 00:15:55,945
but using dark matter?
322
00:15:55,947 --> 00:15:57,232
That's a deal-breaker.
323
00:15:57,235 --> 00:15:59,132
It wasn't when you made
the meta-human cure.
324
00:15:59,134 --> 00:16:01,709
That was different. We
were trying to protect them.
325
00:16:01,711 --> 00:16:04,411
Well, what about the rest of us?
326
00:16:07,792 --> 00:16:10,477
I'm sorry. I really am.
327
00:16:12,004 --> 00:16:14,355
But my answer is still no.
328
00:16:23,492 --> 00:16:25,558
She didn't have to die, Cait.
329
00:16:25,560 --> 00:16:28,018
No one with HLH does,
330
00:16:28,020 --> 00:16:30,905
because you could help me stop it.
331
00:17:26,787 --> 00:17:29,955
Frost, where are you?
332
00:17:58,999 --> 00:18:01,662
- How you feeling?
- Like I should be dead.
333
00:18:01,664 --> 00:18:03,781
That's not gonna
happen. We're Team Flash.
334
00:18:03,783 --> 00:18:05,407
We always watch each other's backs.
335
00:18:05,409 --> 00:18:06,742
We always keep each other safe.
336
00:18:06,744 --> 00:18:09,262
Meanwhile, over here in the real world,
337
00:18:09,264 --> 00:18:11,330
our black hole keeps growing up.
338
00:18:11,332 --> 00:18:14,434
Only next time it pops up,
it won't just be Jitters.
339
00:18:14,436 --> 00:18:16,168
The whole city could be in danger.
340
00:18:16,170 --> 00:18:18,179
Why did this thing show
up outside Jitters, anyway?
341
00:18:18,181 --> 00:18:20,651
What does a coffee shop have
in common with a junkyard?
342
00:18:20,654 --> 00:18:23,351
I think I know who can tell us.
343
00:18:25,429 --> 00:18:27,513
Okay, so I followed up with CCPD's list
344
00:18:27,515 --> 00:18:28,731
of junkyard robberies.
345
00:18:28,733 --> 00:18:30,524
Ten of them were persons of interest,
346
00:18:30,526 --> 00:18:32,935
nine were career
criminals, but this one guy,
347
00:18:32,937 --> 00:18:35,288
a scientist, was let go with a warning
348
00:18:35,290 --> 00:18:38,458
after being caught
stealing old lab equipment.
349
00:18:38,460 --> 00:18:41,461
Team Flash, meet Chester P. Runk.
350
00:18:41,463 --> 00:18:44,530
Hey, what up, party people?
351
00:18:44,532 --> 00:18:46,490
Welcome to a world where all are welcome
352
00:18:46,492 --> 00:18:50,452
and anything, including the
scientifically impossible,
353
00:18:50,454 --> 00:18:53,473
can and probably will happen.
354
00:18:53,475 --> 00:18:54,597
I'm your boy
355
00:18:54,600 --> 00:18:56,874
Chugga-Chugga-Chugga-Chugga Chester...
356
00:18:56,877 --> 00:18:59,294
I really like him.
357
00:18:59,296 --> 00:19:02,390
With knowledge from the
bleeding edge of physics
358
00:19:02,392 --> 00:19:05,559
and beyond-beyond-beyond.
359
00:19:05,561 --> 00:19:07,136
I've been working on that echo.
360
00:19:07,138 --> 00:19:10,731
And... and yes, as usual,
I am fueled by some...
361
00:19:10,733 --> 00:19:12,992
mm, damn fine coffee
362
00:19:12,994 --> 00:19:15,310
from everyone's favorite beanery.
363
00:19:15,312 --> 00:19:18,147
Poured, of course, to, uh, perfection
364
00:19:18,149 --> 00:19:20,190
by a certain special someone.
365
00:19:20,192 --> 00:19:23,836
Huh, huh, huh?
366
00:19:23,838 --> 00:19:27,489
Uh, no, WookieLover77, I...
367
00:19:27,491 --> 00:19:30,367
I have not asked her out yet,
368
00:19:30,369 --> 00:19:32,161
but I got my punch card, okay?
369
00:19:32,163 --> 00:19:35,330
Three more Vibe-achinos and
I'm making my move, baby.
370
00:19:35,332 --> 00:19:37,207
I'm making my move, baby.
371
00:19:37,209 --> 00:19:38,791
I'm making my move, baby!
372
00:19:38,794 --> 00:19:41,403
Okay, he talks about
Natalie for a while, so...
373
00:19:41,406 --> 00:19:43,338
There we go.
374
00:19:47,168 --> 00:19:49,103
Is he building what
I think he's building?
375
00:19:49,105 --> 00:19:51,698
Behold, believers:
376
00:19:51,700 --> 00:19:53,204
a gravitational wave emitter
377
00:19:53,207 --> 00:19:54,941
powered by a modulated neutrino charger.
378
00:19:54,944 --> 00:19:56,560
In other words,
379
00:19:56,562 --> 00:19:59,354
"Time to call some aliens."
380
00:19:59,356 --> 00:20:02,458
- He built this in his garage?
- Using nothing but trash.
381
00:20:02,460 --> 00:20:05,190
What a legend. Oh, he's turning it on.
382
00:20:05,193 --> 00:20:08,122
Uh... uh, no.
383
00:20:08,124 --> 00:20:11,075
No, no, no, that's not
supposed to do that.
384
00:20:11,077 --> 00:20:13,720
Oh, crap. Uh, hold on.
385
00:20:20,178 --> 00:20:22,586
Okay, not exactly getting
the supervillain vibe
386
00:20:22,588 --> 00:20:23,921
from our boy Chester here.
387
00:20:23,923 --> 00:20:25,778
He opened a black hole by accident.
388
00:20:25,781 --> 00:20:27,565
And what about Chester? Is he okay?
389
00:20:27,568 --> 00:20:29,884
Well, police reports show
that EMTs took him to the ER,
390
00:20:29,887 --> 00:20:31,595
but then after that the trail goes cold.
391
00:20:31,597 --> 00:20:33,263
Just a tiny question here:
392
00:20:33,265 --> 00:20:36,892
how do we destroy a black hole?
393
00:20:45,828 --> 00:20:48,455
Well, I am not a doctor,
394
00:20:48,458 --> 00:20:49,947
but I'm gonna assume in this case
395
00:20:49,949 --> 00:20:52,074
that "negative" means a positive.
396
00:20:52,076 --> 00:20:53,259
Not if it means being clueless
397
00:20:53,261 --> 00:20:55,005
about why my powers won't work.
398
00:20:55,008 --> 00:20:57,746
Did anything out of the
ordinary happen recently?
399
00:20:57,748 --> 00:21:00,807
I went to my friend Ramsey's
mom's funeral yesterday.
400
00:21:00,810 --> 00:21:02,226
Anything unusual about the service?
401
00:21:02,229 --> 00:21:04,259
No, it was a lovely service
402
00:21:04,262 --> 00:21:06,847
for an inspiring woman.
403
00:21:06,850 --> 00:21:09,981
Then, today, I nearly
got sucked into oblivion.
404
00:21:09,984 --> 00:21:11,952
Has our frosty femme fatale
405
00:21:11,955 --> 00:21:14,822
ever refused to come
out like this before?
406
00:21:14,824 --> 00:21:18,392
The last time I can think of
is right after my dad died.
407
00:21:18,394 --> 00:21:19,810
Right.
408
00:21:19,812 --> 00:21:21,074
So you think funeral
409
00:21:21,077 --> 00:21:23,442
plus nearly getting
sucked into a black hole
410
00:21:23,445 --> 00:21:26,402
equals Killer Frost is afraid of dying?
411
00:21:26,405 --> 00:21:28,110
Maybe...
412
00:21:28,112 --> 00:21:30,463
but I know we're gonna figure this out.
413
00:21:40,391 --> 00:21:42,916
This place creeps me out.
414
00:21:44,628 --> 00:21:46,887
Will this sort you out?
415
00:21:48,724 --> 00:21:51,818
Nice doing business with you.
416
00:21:56,273 --> 00:21:57,865
Whoever pissed you off
417
00:21:57,867 --> 00:22:01,961
won't be a problem anymore.
418
00:22:08,452 --> 00:22:10,535
Chester P. Runk is here?
419
00:22:12,515 --> 00:22:14,956
Ward nurses say he's been
catatonic since he arrived.
420
00:22:14,958 --> 00:22:17,792
Just involuntary muscle spasms.
421
00:22:24,009 --> 00:22:26,301
Chester?
422
00:22:31,683 --> 00:22:34,643
My name is Iris West-Allen, I'm a reporter.
423
00:22:38,115 --> 00:22:40,699
Chester, can you hear me?
424
00:22:47,008 --> 00:22:49,491
He was our only lead.
425
00:22:50,869 --> 00:22:52,511
Iris.
426
00:22:54,373 --> 00:22:58,333
You lost something of Nora's
last night, didn't you?
427
00:22:58,335 --> 00:23:01,002
Something that Joe
accidentally threw away,
428
00:23:01,004 --> 00:23:04,172
it ended up at that junkyard.
429
00:23:11,199 --> 00:23:14,274
I just miss her so much.
430
00:23:16,186 --> 00:23:19,563
Every day, every minute.
431
00:23:19,565 --> 00:23:22,732
And I know that is selfish because...
432
00:23:22,734 --> 00:23:25,211
one day I may get to see Nora again.
433
00:23:27,406 --> 00:23:29,187
But it won't be our Nora, you know?
434
00:23:29,190 --> 00:23:32,641
The one that we knew, the
one that we have pictures of,
435
00:23:32,644 --> 00:23:34,578
the one that we grew
to love, you know...
436
00:23:37,541 --> 00:23:39,874
That Nora is gone forever.
437
00:23:43,046 --> 00:23:46,881
And I guess because of
that you know, I just...
438
00:23:46,883 --> 00:23:48,734
I don't know how I'm supposed to feel.
439
00:23:48,736 --> 00:23:52,145
Iris, you do not get to
cheat the grieving process
440
00:23:52,147 --> 00:23:55,324
just because you know you're
gonna see Nora again someday.
441
00:23:57,227 --> 00:24:00,278
Yeah, you're right.
442
00:24:00,281 --> 00:24:01,664
I guess I just haven't been able
443
00:24:01,667 --> 00:24:04,582
to put into words how I've been feeling.
444
00:24:11,500 --> 00:24:13,759
Iris?
445
00:24:16,079 --> 00:24:18,764
What is it?
446
00:24:27,182 --> 00:24:29,382
It's Chester.
447
00:24:37,526 --> 00:24:39,618
Oh, my God.
448
00:24:41,604 --> 00:24:43,938
You're looking at the world's first
449
00:24:43,941 --> 00:24:47,359
inverse mass angular momentum disruptor,
450
00:24:47,361 --> 00:24:51,582
but we can just call
it a stellar grenade.
451
00:24:51,585 --> 00:24:53,060
Cool.
452
00:24:53,063 --> 00:24:55,588
So this will destroy the black hole?
453
00:24:55,591 --> 00:24:58,384
As long as it doesn't get much bigger,
454
00:24:58,387 --> 00:25:01,429
this will reverse the hole's
mass-collecting properties,
455
00:25:01,432 --> 00:25:02,765
causing it to...
456
00:25:02,767 --> 00:25:03,933
Implode.
457
00:25:03,935 --> 00:25:06,227
Just toss it in the event horizon;
458
00:25:06,229 --> 00:25:09,364
hasta lasagna,
don't get any on you.
459
00:25:09,366 --> 00:25:12,751
We can't.
460
00:25:12,753 --> 00:25:15,328
If we destroy it, we're
gonna kill Chester too.
461
00:25:24,448 --> 00:25:26,031
You sure about this?
462
00:25:26,034 --> 00:25:28,361
Yeah, the corona's flair
matched the exact cadence
463
00:25:28,364 --> 00:25:29,543
of Chester's fingers.
464
00:25:29,546 --> 00:25:33,095
So the black hole and
Chester are connected?
465
00:25:33,098 --> 00:25:35,981
Actually, I think Chester
is the black hole.
466
00:25:35,984 --> 00:25:39,431
Watch this: so normally,
stimuli enters the brain
467
00:25:39,434 --> 00:25:41,530
through the sensory area,
goes up to the temporal lobe,
468
00:25:41,532 --> 00:25:43,073
and then back around,
469
00:25:43,075 --> 00:25:46,126
but watch what happens
in Chester's brain.
470
00:25:46,128 --> 00:25:47,611
It starts in the right area,
471
00:25:47,614 --> 00:25:49,889
but halfway through its
rotation, it disappears.
472
00:25:51,342 --> 00:25:53,291
I think I know where it's going.
473
00:25:55,563 --> 00:25:58,046
You're looking at a map of
the negative ionic energy
474
00:25:58,048 --> 00:25:59,084
inside the black hole.
475
00:25:59,087 --> 00:26:00,765
Watch what happens when an energy pulse
476
00:26:00,768 --> 00:26:02,309
travels along its tendrils.
477
00:26:02,311 --> 00:26:04,812
See how it stops halfway?
478
00:26:06,742 --> 00:26:10,687
The black hole is the other
half of Chester's mind.
479
00:26:10,690 --> 00:26:12,152
It's his consciousness.
480
00:26:12,154 --> 00:26:13,854
Maybe it's been showing up
481
00:26:13,856 --> 00:26:17,324
in places that hold an
emotional attachment for him,
482
00:26:17,326 --> 00:26:19,888
like the junkyard where he
stole stuff for his projects.
483
00:26:19,891 --> 00:26:21,557
He's got a crush on a girl at Jitters.
484
00:26:21,560 --> 00:26:24,395
Okay, so all we have to
do is get Chester's mind
485
00:26:24,398 --> 00:26:26,574
out of the black hole,
reunite it with his body,
486
00:26:26,577 --> 00:26:28,669
and once his condition stabilizes,
487
00:26:28,671 --> 00:26:31,037
the black hole should just collapse.
488
00:26:31,039 --> 00:26:34,374
Right, but they don't exactly
teach that in med school.
489
00:26:34,376 --> 00:26:35,917
Okay, but we can't just let Chester die.
490
00:26:35,919 --> 00:26:38,712
We have to do something.
491
00:26:41,684 --> 00:26:43,800
Look, I don't like saying it,
492
00:26:43,802 --> 00:26:48,305
but I think we need to consider it.
493
00:26:48,307 --> 00:26:49,639
Cisco, I know where you're going.
494
00:26:49,641 --> 00:26:51,308
And you know we already have a way
495
00:26:51,310 --> 00:26:52,792
of beating this before
it gets any bigger.
496
00:26:52,794 --> 00:26:55,061
- We're not discussing this.
- You think I like saying this?
497
00:26:55,063 --> 00:26:57,772
I don't, but if we don't
find a solution for this
498
00:26:57,774 --> 00:26:59,625
and find one now, we're
gonna have to make a choice
499
00:26:59,627 --> 00:27:01,127
down the line, and it's
either gonna be Chester
500
00:27:01,129 --> 00:27:02,451
or it's gonna be
everyone in Central City.
501
00:27:02,453 --> 00:27:05,297
I'm not losing anyone else!
502
00:27:06,783 --> 00:27:08,876
I'm... let's find another way.
503
00:27:13,891 --> 00:27:17,494
_
504
00:27:23,800 --> 00:27:26,343
Where's the meltdown?
505
00:27:26,345 --> 00:27:28,896
We gotta talk.
506
00:27:28,898 --> 00:27:31,824
What is your problem?
507
00:27:33,569 --> 00:27:35,494
My problem is, we needed you,
508
00:27:35,496 --> 00:27:38,497
and you were holed up in
your Snow-tress of Solitude.
509
00:27:38,499 --> 00:27:40,315
I mean, you even refused
to come out at Jitters.
510
00:27:40,317 --> 00:27:43,026
Flash was there, so spare
me the little hallway chat...
511
00:27:43,028 --> 00:27:46,964
and I'm not afraid of dying.
512
00:27:46,966 --> 00:27:50,009
I know that, but you
are afraid of living.
513
00:27:50,011 --> 00:27:53,370
Thomas's death, the funeral,
what happened at Jitters:
514
00:27:53,372 --> 00:27:55,306
all those things happened to Caitlin.
515
00:27:55,308 --> 00:27:56,998
She also led her high school debate team
516
00:27:57,000 --> 00:27:58,375
to back-to-back championships.
517
00:27:58,377 --> 00:28:01,711
She went to med school.
She married Ronnie.
518
00:28:01,713 --> 00:28:03,616
- Those are her memories.
- Yes, I know.
519
00:28:03,619 --> 00:28:06,007
I was there.
520
00:28:06,009 --> 00:28:07,634
What's your point?
521
00:28:07,636 --> 00:28:09,177
Having Caitlin's memories
522
00:28:09,179 --> 00:28:11,530
isn't the same as having your own.
523
00:28:11,532 --> 00:28:13,223
Like you'd know anything about that.
524
00:28:13,225 --> 00:28:14,700
I know it sucked sitting courtside
525
00:28:14,702 --> 00:28:16,893
for the Thinker show
when he hijacked my body,
526
00:28:16,895 --> 00:28:19,521
and I think that you've been
going through something similar
527
00:28:19,523 --> 00:28:22,065
since Thomas died.
528
00:28:22,067 --> 00:28:23,617
And after being at that funeral,
529
00:28:23,619 --> 00:28:26,378
seeing that woman live
the last days of her life
530
00:28:26,380 --> 00:28:29,048
to the fullest, I
think that made you want
531
00:28:29,050 --> 00:28:30,699
want to start living
your best life right now.
532
00:28:30,701 --> 00:28:34,678
That's not my gig, okay?
533
00:28:34,680 --> 00:28:38,131

00:39:33,655 --> 00:39:36,258
that you could carry
Chester out of that place?
711
00:39:36,261 --> 00:39:39,521
You made me believe I could do it.
712
00:39:39,524 --> 00:39:44,058
I realized we could be
each other's support group,
713
00:39:44,061 --> 00:39:46,495
even though it's gonna take some time.
714
00:39:46,498 --> 00:39:48,773
If we can carry a
memory like this together
715
00:39:48,776 --> 00:39:51,169
in our hearts, carrying
somebody's consciousness
716
00:39:51,172 --> 00:39:53,413
out of a black hole?
717
00:39:53,416 --> 00:39:55,036
It's a piece of cake.
718
00:39:56,467 --> 00:39:59,218
Besides, how else could
I get this back for you?
719
00:40:09,791 --> 00:40:13,251
I know it's not as
good as Nora's video...
720
00:40:19,592 --> 00:40:21,658
It's better.
721
00:40:21,660 --> 00:40:24,411
Now we have something that
we can honor Nora with.
722
00:40:24,413 --> 00:40:26,580
She was pretty "schway."
723
00:40:39,279 --> 00:40:41,261
What do you want?
724
00:40:41,263 --> 00:40:43,983
For your universe to survive.
725
00:40:43,986 --> 00:40:45,938
The plinth...
726
00:40:45,941 --> 00:40:47,137
you destroyed it.
727
00:40:47,140 --> 00:40:48,449
You destroyed Nora's message.
728
00:40:48,452 --> 00:40:52,004
An unfortunate side effect.
729
00:40:52,007 --> 00:40:54,504
But I needed to discourage you.
730
00:40:54,507 --> 00:40:56,275
From doing what?
731
00:40:56,278 --> 00:40:58,153
Hoping.
732
00:40:58,155 --> 00:41:00,738
Your determination
is boundless, Flash...
733
00:41:00,741 --> 00:41:02,798
it is one of your greatest qualities...
734
00:41:02,801 --> 00:41:04,965
but you cannot avoid the coming Crisis.
735
00:41:04,968 --> 00:41:07,171
Barry has five years before he vanishes.
736
00:41:07,174 --> 00:41:08,923
No longer.
737
00:41:08,926 --> 00:41:12,761
December 10, 2019.
738
00:41:12,764 --> 00:41:16,455
On that day, he will answer the call
739
00:41:16,458 --> 00:41:18,726
and make the ultimate sacrifice.
740
00:41:18,729 --> 00:41:21,087
Soon...
741
00:41:21,090 --> 00:41:22,923
this world will fight for the fate
742
00:41:22,926 --> 00:41:24,503
of all the known universes.
743
00:41:24,506 --> 00:41:27,007
I'm not gonna leave my family.
744
00:41:27,010 --> 00:41:29,198
There has to be a way
to stop what's coming.
745
00:41:29,201 --> 00:41:31,422
I am sorry,
746
00:41:31,425 --> 00:41:33,133
but events have been set into motion
747
00:41:33,136 --> 00:41:35,204
that you cannot possibly comprehend.
748
00:41:35,207 --> 00:41:37,591
I don't need to understand them!
749
00:41:37,594 --> 00:41:39,053
Just tell me what I can do.
750
00:41:39,056 --> 00:41:41,966
To survive?
751
00:41:41,969 --> 00:41:43,992
You can't.
752
00:41:43,995 --> 00:41:45,971
In order for billions to survive
753
00:41:45,974 --> 00:41:48,832
this coming Crisis,
754
00:41:48,835 --> 00:41:51,720
the Flash must die.
